About Alexander Jose Luis Ramirez

Miami artist Alexander Ramirez explores the tangible and intangible boundaries with the intermixing of digital and physical work. His earlier work examined the dialogue between the artist’s application of separate mediums and how they affected each other as a visual conversation.  From that point onward, it transformed into an application of how to manipulate best a material that can conserve the essence of the material but still have multiple artistic applications. As a direct visualization of the law of conservation of matter, Ramirez surmised that if he could make a piece from just a basic raw material, why couldn’t he use it to transform and infer a new work made from the same amount of metal.
